Frequently asked questions about skydiving at Skydive Colorado Springs

You do not have to fill the waiver out before arriving at the dropzone although we strongly recommend that you do. The waiver takes about 15 minutes to complete so having this done before arriving at the dropzone allows us to streamline the process and get you ready to skydive faster. We will also prioritize those customers that have filled out the waiver so even if you arrive at the dropzone first, customers who have already completed their waiver will be setup to skydive first as we can get them into the air while you do your waivers. If its at all possible we do ask that you complete the waiver before arriving at the dropzone. You can find a link to our waiver here.

We are located at the Fremont County Airport in Penrose, Colorado.

We recommend that you wear clothes that you are ok with getting a little dirty. Long rugged pants are advised. Shoes or sandals that are secured on the feet are necessary. We do not allow boots that have metal or plastic hooks that can snag on parachute equipment. During the summer months short sleeves are most comfortable where as with colder weather we recommend wearing a long sleeve or hoodie. We also ask that you wear you smile and be prepared to have a fantastic time while you are at the drop zone!

You must be at least 18 and provide a valid, government-issued photo identification prior to your jump. Anyone over 65 should talk with their doctor.

The weight limit is 225 pounds, anything beyond that is at the discretion of the instructor.

The ultimate video package includes everything from the Photo and Video package but also provides an outside videographer. This is another skydiver who will video the entire jump process including joining you in freefall. This allows for the most dynamic and interactive video experience. The video flyer will fly up to you during freefall not only capturing the most amazing shots of your skydive but also allowing you to experience freefalling with another skydiver. This adds a whole new depth to your skydive and truly gives you an experience that is typicaly only available to experienced, licensed skydivers, hence we have named it the Ultimate Video Package.

There are no refunds, but, we will issue a raincheck or reschedule your jump.

Tipping is not required but if you have a good time and feel the team deserves it just drop it to manifest with your comment card. Note: (Average is $20)

The booking fee is based on a percentage of the total price you are paying online today. The minimum required to book your slot is the $80.00 deposit. You can add photo and video packages when you arrive at the dropzone with the exclusion of the ultimate video package. The ultimate video package requires an outside videographer. If the ultimate photo video package is not purchased up front it will be subject to availability of a videographer on the day of your jump.

Most of the time we will be able to accommodate special needs tandem students, but every case will be assessed individually.
