What to Expect on Your First Jump
Arrival & Briefing
When you arrive at Skydive Colorado Springs, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team, and be introduced to your tandem instructor (if they’re on the ground at that time).
You’ll watch a short video going over the basics of tandem skydiving and what to expect. Then fill out some paperwork and gear up!
The Ride to Altitude
You’ll board one of our Cessna 182 jump planes and enjoy a scenic ride to altitude. They are small but mighty, and will have you to 9,000 feet in no time!
The Jump
Feel the ultimate adrenaline rush as you leap from 9,000+ feet, experiencing up to 40 seconds of free fall.
Once the parachute opens, enjoy several minutes of a peaceful canopy ride and soak in the beauty of the Sangre de Cristos & Pikes Peak.
Want to steer the parachute? Just ask! When you near the ground, your instructor will take over and glide gently to the landing area.
