Countdown to the Undie One Hundie: My 100th Jump Is Coming!

Table of Contents

There are a lot of milestones in skydiving: first solo jump, first license, first time leading a group, first jump at a new drop zone… but few are as hilariously iconic—and slightly ridiculous—as the Undie One Hundie.

That’s right—jump #100 is coming up. And according to skydiving tradition, that means one thing: it’s time to strip down and send it in my underwear.

Wait… What Is the “Undie One Hundie?”

In skydiving culture, the 100th jump is a special rite of passage. To mark it, many jumpers do it in their underwear (or something equally brave and silly). It’s a way of saying: Hey, I’ve come this far, I’ve learned a lot, and now I’m confident enough to fly free—literally and figuratively.

Of course, it’s optional. But for those who lean into the tradition, it’s a fun, freeing way to celebrate how far they’ve come.

From A-License to B-License to Barely Dressed

I still remember how it felt to stand in the loading area before my first few jumps—heart pounding, unsure of myself, checking my gear 40 times. Now I’m staring down my 100th jump, with a B license under my belt (and not much else soon, apparently).

Every jump has taught me something new—about flying, awareness, resilience, and community. And yes, there were some ups and downs, but each one got me here.

And the best part? I’ve had amazing support the whole way. Big thanks to Lee, who’s not just been my instructor, but also my rock throughout this journey. I wouldn’t be anywhere near this milestone without his guidance, patience, and belief in me—on every single jump.

More Than Just a Laugh

The Undie One Hundie isn’t just about the joke (though let’s be honest, the laughs are part of the fun). It’s about owning your growth. It’s about recognizing that you’ve put in the work, faced the fear, trusted the process—and made it 100 times over.

It’s also about community. Because no one gets to 100 jumps alone. I’m beyond thankful for the friends, mentors, manifest team, packers, and pilots who’ve helped me along the way.

Final Thoughts

So yes—jump #100 might look a little… different. But it’ll also be one of the most meaningful and memorable moments yet. Because sometimes in skydiving—and in life—you just have to let go, trust yourself, and enjoy the ride.

Blue skies and cheeky landings. Here’s to 100!
