When I first started my A-license journey, I remember watching the experienced jumpers walk out to the plane with calm confidence and thinking, I can’t wait to be like that someday. Fast forward, and here I am—officially a B-licensed skydiver. It still feels surreal, but also incredibly earned.
This journey hasn’t just been about completing jumps or checking boxes. It’s been about growth, trust, and learning to push my limits while staying safe and sharp. The B license feels like more than a certification—it’s a mark of confidence, competence, and commitment to the sport I’ve fallen in love with.

Lessons From the A to the B
Going from A to B meant not just logging more jumps, but learning more about canopy control, advanced freefall skills, spotting, and group awareness. I spent more time under canopy, understanding wind patterns and practicing accuracy landings. It pushed me to fly with more intention and more awareness of the space and people around me.
I also had to earn my water training, which was definitely outside my comfort zone—but a great reminder that skydiving isn’t just about what we do in the sky, but how we prepare for every scenario.
Community Makes All the Difference
What really carried me through this phase of my training was the support around me. My boyfriend Lee has been unbelievably patient and encouraging—always willing to slow things down when I needed clarity or give me that extra push when I was ready for the next step.
Thank you for being more than a partner—you’ve been my instructor, guide, and constant source of skydiving wisdom. I’ve learned something new from you on every jump, and I’m so grateful for your belief in me, even when I doubted myself.

What the B License Means to Me
This license isn’t about being “done.” In fact, it’s the opposite. It’s a doorway to more: more types of jumps, more advanced learning, and more opportunities to grow. With a B license, I can now jump into new DZs, explore night jumps, and take on more responsibilities in the air.
And soon I will start helping newer jumpers the way others helped me. That’s the part I’m most excited about—giving back, jumping with students or low-timers, and being someone who makes them feel welcomed, safe, and capable.
Keep Showing Up
To anyone out there still working toward your A or B license: keep showing up. Ask questions. Take your time when you need it. Push yourself when you’re ready. You don’t have to rush. You just have to stay committed. Every jump teaches you something if you’re willing to learn.
Earning my B license was a huge personal milestone, but it’s just one part of a much bigger journey. And I’m so excited for what’s next.
Blue skies, and thank you to everyone who’s been part of this ride.
