June brought big energy to the drop zone, from canopy learning and confidence-building to community moments worth celebrating. As we close out the month, we’re looking back at the skills, people, and stories that made June special, and getting ready for an exciting July in the sky!
What Happened in June: Izzy’s Wing Canopy Course
This month, fun jumpers at Skydive Colorado Springs took their canopy skills to the next level with the Izzy Wings Canopy Course.
From foundational canopy control to more advanced techniques, participants gained valuable knowledge, built confidence, and became more proficient pilots. It was awesome to see jumpers of all experience levels applying new skills and investing in their continued growth under the guidance of the Izzy Wings team.
A huge thank you to instructor Hunter and to everyone who showed up ready to learn. Our skydiving community gets stronger when we keep education at the center of the sport.
Cooking Up Next: World Skydiving Day | July 11
Mark your calendars: World Skydiving Day is coming up on Saturday, July 11, 2026, and skydivers around the globe are coming together to help break the record for the most skydives completed in a single day.
The current record stands at 30,351 skydives, and every eligible jump counts. That means tandem students, first-time jumpers, experienced fun jumpers, instructors, and licensed skydivers all have a chance to be part of something bigger than one drop zone.
If you’ve always wanted to make a skydive, this is a perfect day to do it. First-timers can join the celebration with a tandem skydive, while licensed skydivers are encouraged to get current, make a few jumps, and help add to the official World Skydiving Day count.
Let’s help the skydiving community make history one jump at a time.
