August paired beautiful early-morning views with two milestones that meant even more to our drop zone. We watched Maurice and Kaitlyn complete the work required for their USPA A Licenses, celebrated them with a time-honored forehead stamp, and kept sharing Colorado’s skies with new jumpers.
What Happened in August
First Light, Two Planes, and a Full Day Ahead
Some mornings at the drop zone arrive with their own reward. One August sunrise lit up the horizon just as the team prepared two planes for the day. Everyone who showed up early caught a view worth remembering before the first load left the ground.

Maurice and Kaitlyn Earned Their A License
Congratulations to Maurice Cleckley and Kaitlyn, who completed the requirements and demonstrated the skills needed to earn his USPA A License. That achievement means they can now skydive as a licensed jumper. The team marked the moment with one of the drop zone’s favorite traditions, a celebratory forehead stamp.
Earning that stamp takes consistent effort and real dedication. Watching students grow into licensed skydivers is one of the best parts of what we do. Congratulations!
What’s Coming Up in September
If your first skydive has been waiting on the calendar, come see Colorado from above the plains between Pikes Peak and the Sangre de Cristo Range.
If your goal goes beyond one tandem, take the first step toward your own A License. Our instructor-assisted deployment program begins with canopy skills and gradually increases your freefall time as you progress toward independent skydiving.
What Our Jumpers Are Saying
“Crazy experience. All the guys were calm and cool. Lot of humor and down to earth. Definitely going back!! Thanks guys 🤙🏻”

Your Next Story Starts Above Colorado
August reminded us that every skydive leaves something behind. It might be a sunrise you will remember, a new name in the logbook, or a forehead stamp earned after months of work. Whether your next step is a tandem or the beginning of your license journey, we would love to welcome you to the drop zone this September.
