Easing Back Into the Season at Skydive Colorado Springs: March Newsletter

Table of Contents

In March, the skies were calling, and we responded by getting back into action. We made our first jumps of the season, refreshed our safety knowledge, and came together for community days. March was about shaking off the dust and getting current again. Whether you showed up to jump, learn, or just reconnect, this month reminded us why we love this sport and this community so much.

How We Kicked Off the Season

On March 8, We Got Comfortable on Water

Water training at Skydive Colorado Springs

This one got hands-on in the best way.

Jumpers showed up ready to learn, get wet, and build real confidence around water landings. We reviewed gear management and self-rescue techniques, focusing on the skills you hope you never need but should always be prepared for.

It was a great mix of learning and practical application, with everyone getting involved and walking away with a better understanding of how to handle water scenarios safely.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and took part.

March 14: Kicking Off the Season with USPA Safety Day

Safety Day brought everyone together to reset, refresh, and get dialed in for the season ahead.

We covered everything: emergency procedures, gear checks, canopy control, and aircraft safety. It was a solid mix of learning, discussion, and real-world reminders that apply to every single jump.

More than anything, it was great to see so many jumpers show up ready to learn and take safety seriously. That shared mindset is what keeps our community strong and sets the tone for the rest of the season.
